A Trail to Zero
Client
Giant Group
Agency
FPA Studio
Role
Designer, Animator, Simulation
Background
Giant Group launched the "A Trail to Zero" initiative to reduce emissions and promote sustainable production. To bring this vision to life, they collaborated with FPA Studio to create a brand film. I contributed by designing two key scenes that visualize how recycled metals and innovative carbon fiber processes transform into new bicycle frames.
Concept
This film highlights the creative use of materials in Giant’s sustainable vision. I worked on two major scenes: one showing recycled industrial metals melted into new frames, where a key challenge was simulating rigid object and fluid interaction; the other visualizing how new carbon fibers merge with a special resin, emphasizing the interplay and integration of materials.
Impact
Giant’s “A Trail to Zero” embodies a forward-looking vision of sustainability and material innovation. The film was featured on Stash and also highlighted on Behance, two major platforms in the design community. Social media response was notable as well, design influencers on Instagram shared and praised the film, generating more than 100K views and amplifying its reach. These exposures helped position the initiative as a compelling example of sustainable branding in motion design.
