Background

Funtech Innex, a Taiwanese hardware company, specializes in video conferencing and hybrid-collaboration solutions. Founded in 2021, the startup quickly scaled its global reach via Amazon, surpassing a million USD in annual revenue within two years. Despite this strong performance, their video production had always been done in-house. Seeking to move to the next level, they reached out to me for a professional production that could better match their brand ambitions.

Concept

As Funtech Innex’s first external video‑production partner, I created a product film that explained key features visually without relying on text. Working closely with the client, I developed a scenario‑based script to show the device in real‑world use case. Since video conferencing usually involves people but the budget limited character production, I also designed creative alternatives to suggest human presence and interaction. The result was simple, story‑driven visuals that clearly conveyed the product’s functions and elevated the brand presentation.

Impact

The film was first unveiled at an international trade show, where it received an enthusiastic response. Many of Funtech Innex’s clients were impressed and praised the elevated quality, which sparked strong positive feedback. This success led to further discussions on producing additional videos for their product line, and as their first outsourced production, it gave them confidence in working with professional partners.

The product has many features the client wanted to showcase in a one-minute video, we designed a variety of shots to convey them effectively. Since Innex’s customers prefer a clear demonstration of functions, we aimed to strike a balance between a modern aesthetic and straightforward storytelling without being overly explanatory.
