Background
Marie Dalgar, a pioneering Chinese beauty brand based in Shanghai and renowned for its bold, artistic vision, invited me to design the key visual and campaign film for the Living Coral eyeshadow palette. Aligned with Pantone’s Color of the Year “Living Coral” in 2019, the palette showcased soft coral tones blending pink and orange, laying the foundation for a warm, fluid, and elegant campaign aesthetic.
Concept
With the product design already finalized, the visual direction was shaped around its form and color identity, reflecting Marie Dalgar’s youthful positioning. The film translates the palette’s flowing texture into an organic motion language. Beginning with a simple sphere, shapes unfold into fluid structures that echo the palette’s inspiration. Gentle coral tones and a sense of vitality emphasize the brand’s youthful spirit, while blending organic forms with product details to convey fresh energy and reinforce the campaign’s character.
