Background
In 2019, I was invited by Visual Signal Tao in Beijing to collaborate on a promotional film for the launch of VIVO’s X30 series. The campaign highlighted two new color variants—Crystal Purple and Coral Orange. My role focused on setting the overall art direction and designing the visual atmosphere, particularly shaping the environments around stone and coral textures to align with the product’s theme.
Concept
The film takes the ocean as its stage, where coral thrives beneath the surface and crystal-like stones shimmer above. Through mirrored compositions and subtle rotations, the narrative contrasts the two colorways, creating a poetic interplay between water and sky. This duality emphasizes the elegance of the X30’s new palette, transforming simple color introductions into an immersive visual experience.
